September 27 the acting chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg Vyacheslav Kalganov met in Smolny with members of the delegation.
During the conversation, the head of the delegation, Dr. Hong, spoke about the mission of the international organization that he head to promote the ideas of good and peace through cultural and sports exchanges. To unite like-minded people, the organization holds world summits and invites leaders from different areas to participate in it. During the summits, there is a tradition to ring the bell as a token of love and peace. To date, 288 eminent persons from 96 countries have already rang the bell.
In response, the Acting Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, Vyacheslav Kalganov, thanked the delegation for attention to St. Petersburg and told the guests about the contribution of our city and its inhabitants to the Victory in World War II and the maintenance of peace on earth.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Hong asked V. Kalganov to deliver the «FOWPAL» certificate to the Governor of St. Petersburg, Georgy S. Poltavchenko, which is presented by the organization to high-ranking officials of the whole world as a token of appreciation for the achievements in the maintenance of peace.
